There are over 600 project members who have done an ancestry DNA test who are in our ancestors project on Gedmatch, look for us under Ancestors Projects - search for Legacy Reclaimed.
There are over 35 yDNA tests in our project. The tests range from 37 marker tests to several big Y tests. Click here to view them.
There are over 30 yDNA tests in process for the larger project ranging from the 37 marker yDNA test to big Y tests. As the results come in they will automatically be added to the link above.
There are future and current project members willing to test as soon as funds are collected for additional testing.
If you would like to contribute to the testing here are 4 ways you can help (all fees go directly toward testing costs, including shipping and tax where applicable):
Donate for yDNA testing for someone who is of 100% African ethnicity or someone who descends from an enslaved ancestor. Click here to donate directly to the testing fund (when you click the PayPal option you can choose PayPal or debit/credit card).
Donate funds for an ancestry.com DNA test for someone who is of 100% African ethnicity. Another option is to purchase a new test or to send an unused test to us at the P.O. Box listed below.
